Engagement with International Finance

Aims:

The Centre will explore how to align critical minerals projects with the expectations of global sustainable finance markets.

Building on an Innovate UK project in Devon, the Centre will adapt lessons learned about making nature and renewable energy projects attractive to green investors and apply them to critical minerals.

Develop frameworks that link biodiversity and circular economy outcomes to financial attractiveness, aiming to unlock new sources of green and impact investment.

Collaborations with global mining companies and international research networks will help ensure that innovations are finance-ready and globally relevant.

Approach:

The Centre plans to engage with the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) and participate in discussions on green investment.
